Samsung and Apple Developing Powerful Chipsets

Production lines through the Peoples Republic of China will begin constructing new 5NM EUV Chipsets throughout the Huazhong Factories. This follows after twelve months of internal development amongst engineers, with these chipsets slated to provide additional computing and battery power to smartphone devices. This will extensively apply to 5G-Enabled smartphones, with production slated to be somewhat delayed for the next few months with the coronavirus. That’s why the Samsung Corporation provided a public announcement that standard periods of testing and evaluation will be increased to several months. Meaning mass production won’t begin until September 2020, with additional delays expected following the increased spread of COVID-19.

This hasn’t stopped manufacturers from ordering these chipsets with the Samsung Corporation. It was revealed during this announcement that the Qualcomm Company had requested a substantial volume of the 5NM EUV Chipsets, which will work in correlation with the Snapdragon X60 5G Modems. Considering that these modems are slated to dominate the 5G Telecommunication Networks, this contract from Qualcomm has benefits Samsung extensively.

Apple’s 5nm Chipsets

Multiple smartphone manufacturers are begging to prepare for the 5G Telecommunication Networks, which extends to the Apple Company. It was announced shortly after Samsung revealed their production expectations that the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company will begin developing integrated circuits for 5NM EUV Chipsets. These chipsets will be manufactured exclusively for the upcoming generations of the iPhone, Apple Watch and iMac. Apple rendition of this chipset will decrease energy consumption while increasing the computing performance of iPhones by 10%.

It should be expressed that TSMC grabs their designs from other manufacturers and implements minimal changes. This is possible because of the legislation surrounding Taiwan, with corporations facing a minimal backlash with the concept of stealing designs. Even with these illegal activities, it hasn’t stopped companies like Huawei and Apple from engaging with TSMC. This extends to MediaTek and Qualcomm, with the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company maintain contracts with all tech companies mentioned above.

Those wanting to purchase a handset with these new 5G-Capable chipsets will have to wait upwards of twelve months. The Apple Company and Samsung Corporation have both publicly admitted to expected delays. We’ll keep our readers informed of any additional smartphone cancellations or postponements moving forward.
